Vitaflo® have recently completed a re-branding of our entire range of protein substitute products. As a company, we recognise that a protein substitute should not only meet a patient’s nutritional needs, but should also appeal to the individual having to take them on a daily basis.

We believe that our stylish new packaging will fit in with the busy lifestyles of individuals, ensuring that they can take our product wherever and whenever they want, be it at school, work or when out with friends.

Our patient-friendly names have remained the same (Gel, Express, Cooler…and our brand new product Squeezie) as well as the disease-specific colour identification and consumer-friendly packaging. But we have introduced a fresh, new contemporary design that we’re sure patients will love.

The Fate low protein range of flours and cake mixes have been developed by Eileen Green and the story is truly remarkable. Eileen lives in the UK and is a mother of 2 girls, both who have Phenylketonuria. Eileen has had 15 years of experience in the catering industry and yet she remembers really struggling to make great tasting low protein meals for her daughters. Eileen knew that if her girls were to grow up eating food that they didn’t enjoy, then it would be impossible for them to stick to their diets long term. With this in mind Eileen set it upon herself to improve this. It is with perseverance she developed the range of Fate low protein foods that are now available today. Eileen has also developed many low protein recipes. Many are available as part of the notes and recipes that accompany the Low Protein Mixes. Other recipes are included in her recipe book “Fate Special Recipes”, details below on downloadable form.

New Renastart presentation – 400g tin

From October 2013, the packaging for Renastart TM will be changing from a box of 10 x 100g sachets to a 400g tin.

Renastart is a high energy, powdered formula with low levels of protein, calcium, chloride, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin A, containing whey protein, amino acids, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and the long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPs), Arachadonic acid (AA) and Docosahaxaenoic acid (DHA).

The new 400g tin presentation is convenient to use and it offers a longer ‘once opened’ storage and shelf life compared to the sachets.

Storage: Unopened – Store in a cool, dry place.
Opened: Use within 1 month.

Shelf life: 18 months

When changing your supply from sachets to tins a new prescription from your Dr is required.

Basecal (available on the PBS)
Protein free powder providing carbohydrate, fat and micronutrients in a pre-measured sachet. “Contains LCPs.”

1 sachet of Basecal100 contains 100kcals. When made up to 100ml provides 1kcal/ml.
1 sachet of Basecal200 contains 200kcals. When made up to 200ml, provides 1kcal/ml.

Amino5′s are a condition specific range of powdered amino acid supplements presented in pre-measured sachets. Each individual sachet contains 5gPE.
